Join Mizzi Studio as a Junior Architect and contribute to architecture and interior design projects that place people, place and nature at the centre of the design process. Working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team, you'll gain hands-on experience while helping shape meaningful projects from concept through to delivery.
We're looking for a talented, curious and ambitious Junior Architect (full time) to join our multidisciplinary team at our studio in Valletta. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a diverse portfolio of architecture and Interior Design projects, working within an international studio at the forefront of regenerative design.
You will work alongside experienced architects and designers who will mentor and support your development, giving you the opportunity to build your skills while making a meaningful contribution to projects from concept through to planning.
Key Responsibilities
Form part of a closely-knit, collaborative studio team, working on a range of architectural and interior design projects.
Assist Associate Designers and project teams in developing urban and architectural design proposals for planning submissions.
Support the procurement process, including sourcing materials, products and suppliers.
Assist with project coordination to ensure the smooth delivery of projects across design stages.
Coordinate with consultants, suppliers and contractors to support project delivery.
Prepare drawings, visual material, presentations and supporting documentation for client meetings, design reviews and planning applications.
Learn from experienced architectural professionals through ongoing mentorship, collaboration and hands-on project experience through all stages of the design and execution process.
Support the wider studio with day-to-day tasks and activities as required.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
BSc in Built Environment, BA in Architecture (RIBA Part 1) or equivalent.
A strong design sensibility with excellent graphic and visual communication skills.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Rhino and Adobe Creative suite.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Excellent written and spoken English.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A proactive, organised approach, with enthusiasm for learning and contributing to a collaborative studio environment.
Advantageous
Knowledge of Revit and/or 3D visualisation software is an advantage.
Proficiency in Maltese.
An interest in sustainable architecture and design.
Previous professional experience in a similar role.
Knowledge of local planning processes and regulations.
